New Equipment

Recently commissioned apparatus include:

  • Gamry Reference 600 and Reference 3000 high-performance potentiostats. Read more (4KB)
  • High Purity Water System for CAPE. ATM has received (September 2009) an Arium 611 UV ultrapure water system that delivers type 1 laboratory water which exceeds the ASTM, NCCLS, ISO and USP reagent water standards. This system will produce the water used in research projects where the highest level of purity are required (e.g. investigation of electrochemical alcohol oxidation reaction mechanisms).
  • Differential scanning calorimeter
  • Biomass integrated gasification combined cycle (BIGCC) system (under construction)
  • Reactor/distillation column with fieldbus control system
  • MegaSpeed CPL MS 50K high speed camera
  • Wood drying tunnel
  • Agilent micro gas chromatograph for gas analysis
